Cookout in Norfolk

My first time was a couple a days ago I went with my husband and some friends. The prices was cheap but the food. Laaawd it was so plain like I could have literally made this myself but way better. We wanted to try something new but this was not it. Don't get me wrong the employees was very nice, store was clean and we got our food on time.

The people were very friendly and polite. The food was delicious. AND the bathroom was PRISTINE. I would recommend this location to everyone. Thank you so much for all your hard work.

I havent had any issues with this location. food is always hot!. 4 stars because i dont like the milkshakes and the fries should be more crispy

My family and I were in this restaurant around 7:20pm 2/7/20. The dining area was clean. The restroom was ok, the men's room sink was too small sitting on rusted mounts, with paper towels sitting under the soap dispenser, extremely unappealing. The worst experience during our visit was a (what appeared to be) a manager in plain clothes complaining to someone in a cookout uniform (maybe another manager) in the dining area away from the rest of the cookout staff. This same lady in plain clothes was "vaping" inside the restaurant near the men's restroom while talking to that same cookout employee. The food was very tasty though!

Burger was a rolled up mess. The mustard mustache manager was was rude and they should teach their cooks how to uh...cook.

My husband and I stopped by for some cheerwine. The cashier on the left side drive thru was extremely nice. Much nicer here than the cook out closer to home! Thank you for the friendly service! 😁

Had a long line (for that time of night), but it moved relatively fast.

Good fast food....now if your a foodie , well you might want to bypass...but for the price u will get full!

I just want extra sauce on my quesadillas. Two out of three times I ask I get no sauce. Fix your extra sauce button or something.

Good food, prices have went up a little bit but still reasonable.... great burger flavor!!

All in the party were very pleased. Excellent burgers and shakes were enjoyed on this day. Amazing for the money.

Fast food. Great customer service. Visit here once a year on a yearly trip...never miss a beat and always great atmosphere. Customers are even happy.

Hotdogs were rubbery, fries were cold. No napkins were given. Horrible

It was our first time ever and the service was great food was hot and fresh we went before we left line moved fast .

I'd heard so much about this place, so I tried it out. Even though it was lunch time, my order was filled quickly. Food was good and cheap. The double burger had an old school grilled taste. I will try some other items on the menu.

Staff friendly, food was awesome. Cant go wrong with a banna waffer milkshake.

Pretty good value for the money. The burgers were good, the chicken was pretty good. Onion rings weren't overcooked (suprising for fast food). Fries weren't particularly memorable

I personally never had a bad experience at this location. The food is always good and my order is always right and I never am missing anything in my bag. What made me want to leave a review today was the service , I went through the drive thru and Zahron ( according to my receipt) was the one who took my order, not once did I feel rushed when placing my order which is how I feel everytime I go thru a fast food drive thru. He was also sweet , polite and respectful. I’ve worked in the fast food industry before and I know how irritable it can be sometimes. So it was refreshing have good customer service tonight. I hope that he receives some type of reward or something for me leaving this review. He deserves it. Thank you!

This Cook Out has great food and milkshakes. Going here after a long day is great and customer service is amazing. Will go here again.

First time eating there. Food and service were both great.

Food was very good, like always. Only issue was the tables were dirt. We had to clean our own because apparently they didn't have anyone that cleans available.

Only giving 2 stars cause the girl taking my order was very pleasant but I took away 3 stars cause the food was traaaaaaaaaaaaash. The burger was significantly smaller than the bun & burnt but still pink on the inside. I got the cheddar style burger with everything that comes on it but there was literally a mountain of grilled onions on it. The burger itself was just sloppily put together. The fries were soggy only after a 5 minute ride home, so idk if it was the trapped steam in the carry out boxes or if they were already soggy, but they should correct that. Plus, my peach shake had no flavor & just didn't taste good at all & I love everything peach. The other cookouts are just way better than this one. Hands down.

Pork Barbeque plate is fire+affordable

The worker was patient while taking our order. Instead of dining in, we brought our food home. We asked for a side of BBQ sauce but majority of the sauce was missing. My sandwich was missing the lettuce and mayo, and a side of onion rings was a total of 3. Although the food was filling, we expected a better quality and quantity of onion rings.

Relatively inexpensive. Lots of food. And I would say it's really tasty as well. I'm always getting the Cajun chicken tray!Tip for the new comers, you can get your shake flavors mixed for free!

Always hot, always fresh. No reheating food here. Plus, you can order your food like you want it.

Went to cookout on military highway tonight after work. It was about 8:45 I wanted to picked up dinner for my family. My daughter really loves cookout. Tonight we all were very disappointed. Since I was asked to repeat my order I asummed it was right and didnt check it. I drove from the norfolk cookout to home in chesapeake my order was totally wrong. I have been trying to call now for over an hour. No answer...I even called another one to ask what I can do.

We went here at about 8pm to make an order for 12 people. We fully expected to wait a while and/or be pulled off to the side. We finished our order and got up to the second window, food was ready within five minutes. We were absolutely floored when it was ready so fast, including milkshakes and everything. Kudos to them, and our food was good. Super affordable too, especially for that many people

hamburger bun soggy, couldn't find the cheese, and beef had no taste, over cooked. My husband liked the bbq sandwich, I didn't taste it.

Nice hot food. Fries are great. Only 4 onion rings though so will stick with fries. BBQ is very good. Cole slaw is also very good ! No carrot filler ! Tea is also good. If you have not tried, give it a try. You will enjoy their food.

Great food, quick services. Burgers are super tasty. Great combos for a very low price. I love the fact that there are bible references on the cups and christian music playing in the background.
